漢方薬の有用がより広く知られ、漢方処方が急激に増加し、漢方を実践できる医師・薬剤師の需要が高まっています。また、今までのように生薬含有の有効成分が創薬シードとして期待されるだけでなく、新たな漢方薬の活用方法、新しい漢方薬の薬効が発見されるようになり、益々漢方薬が注目されています。
生薬漢方診療講学講座は、この新しい時代の先駆けとして西洋医薬学と東洋医薬学の統合を基盤にした漢方診療、漢方医薬学の実践教育（臨床教育）と拡大する医師・薬剤師の臨床業務に漢方による変革を試み、さらに薬草の持つ魅力の発信拠点となり、薬草に関する科学的な革新的研究および創薬研究を試みる講座です。

The usefulness of Kanpo（Japanese herbal medicine）is more widely known, the number of Kanpo prescriptions is increasing rapidly, and the demand for doctors and pharmacists who can practice Kanpo medicine is increasing. In addition, not only are active ingredients containing crude drugs expected as drug discovery seeds as before, but new methods of utilizing Kanpo medicines and new medicinal effects of Kanpo medicines are being discovered, and Kanpo medicines are attracting more and more attention.
As a pioneer of this new era, the crude drug Kampo medical treatment course will be used for Kanpo medicine medical treatment based on the integration of Western medicine and Oriental medicine, practical education (clinical education) of Kampo medicine, and expanding clinical work of doctors and pharmacists. This is a course that attempts to transform with Kampo, and also serves as a base for transmitting the appeal of medicinal herbs, and attempts scientifically innovative research and drug discovery research on medicinal herbs.
